MICHAEL BUCK is a photographer in Grand Rapids who specializes in capturing the flavors of local arts, food and culture.

 

M. CHRISTINE BYRON and TOM WILSON are fascinated by the history of Michigan tourism and roadside architecture. Their pictorial “Vintage Views” books have received three Michigan Notable Book awards and a State History Award.  

MARK S. CARLSON specializes in nature photography. His work has appeared in magazines, books and calendars, including National Wildlife & Nature’s Best magazines and the acclaimed book “Michigan Simply Beautiful.”

 

JERRY DENNIS is a renowned Michigan author and BLUE’s Reflections columnist. He lives near Traverse City, where he gets away with calling his fishing, hunting, canoeing, birding and beach walking “research.”

ALEXANDRA FLUEGEL is a writer from Grand Rapids who focuses on arts and culture. Currently, her home is Detroit, where she can be found running along the Riverfront or in her backyard reading Twitter.

PATRICE FRANTZ is a West Michigan native and author. She lives in Grand Haven with her husband Ron, golden retriever Eve, guinea pig Calvin and one 17-year-old goldfish. 

 

LYNNE GOLODNER is a nationally-known journalist and author of eight books. She writes about how people find meaning in the mundane. Lynne lives in Huntington Woods with her husband and four children.

BOB GWIZDZ is a Michigan native and career outdoor writer. He served as outdoor editor for Booth Newspapers and now works for the Department of Natural Resources. His work has been featured in many of America’s top hunting and fishing magazines and websites.

HEATHER HIGHAM is a landscape photographer based in Traverse City. She spends as much time as she can outdoors. When not editing photos, she is found on the trail, in the water, or on the slopes - often with camera in hand.

TOM HUGGLER is a freelance writer from Sunfield Michigan. He is the author of 20 books, including the Fish Michigan series of mapped guidebooks to the state's rivers, inland lakes and Great Lakes hotspots.

GREG JOHNSON is a member of the Golf Writers of America and serves as a trustee to the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame committee and has covered golf for 34 years.
